Holly Jolly previews and links!

By now you all know that I am always a day late and a dollar short with my posts, but hopefully the goodies I give you make up for it. :) I have been SO swamped lately, I haven't even had time to breathe. I can't wait until the holidays are over so I can finally relax for two seconds. You've already waited long enough, so to keep it short and sweet here are the previews and links.

Alphas

Elements

Patterned Papers

Plain Papers

The code for the blogroll isn't working for some reason so I will just post the link to the previous blog and the next blog, as well as the home page in case you get lost. Sorry they were late, but better late than never, right?!

The homepage for the blog train.

Just a quick note..

I'd like to make an announcement....

The Holly Jolly Blog Train will be taking off in 10 days!! There are 74 blogs participating (I am stop #34!) and it is definitely something you are going to want to tag along for. I haven't put together my previews yet because, well because I can't stop making things for it! It is my first time doing a blog train and it has been so much fun.
Here is the color pallette that we worked off of. Everyone did such an amazing job, you really are going to love it. I'm going to put a preview together and see if I can't give you a 'sneak peek' at my portion of the kit.
I'm glad you are all liking the grab bags so much!! I know only one of the alpha files is in PNG, I just haven't had time to separate the others. But now I have an awesome action from Mega Doodle Inspired that will separate them super fast. So if there are enough people out there who want them separated I will go ahead and do it. Just let me know! Thanks to all of those who are leaving comments, they make my day!! Haha, I had to laugh because Yvonne of CrazyScrapWitch left a comment on my pics post (look a few posts down) about the pic of my husband and son looking over the bridge and about how far down it looked. Trust me Yvonne, my heart was leaping out of my chest, but it was such an awesome picture moment that I snapped it really quickly and then hurried up and snatched him away before he would fall down to the deep dark abyss. Imagine my surprise (and glee!) when I uploaded the pics on my computer and saw how good it turned out. I was expecting it to be all blurry and pretty bad honestly. What mother doesn't intentionally endanger their children every once in a while for that chance at that perfect photo right?
Hmmm, maybe I should re-think that one a little.
TTFN!
Grrrr, I don't know why it won't let me put spaces inbetween the different paragraphs. I can type it that way but it won't save it like that. Oh well. Life goes on.

SOOO Excited!!

Just had to pop on quick and post, because while searching for some freebies before I went to bed I found my preview on none other than Suzee Q's Stuff!!! She always has the best list of freebies, and I check her everyday. And it was so exciting to pop on there tonight and see that she posted my freebie! I just had to come shout it from the rooftops!!! WOOHOO! Nope, I'm not excited in the least bit. Isn't it crazy that something so small and insignificant can make us so happy and giddy? Hehe, or maybe it's just me. :)

P.S. A million thanks to those of you, how very few it may be, who have taken the time to leave a comment. It makes you feel like a deflated balloon when you spend so much time on designing and people can't bother to take an extra second to say thanks. So those of you that have, thank YOU! You really make my day!!

Yay, I have the links for you!

After having to fight with 4 shared for days, I finally have the links for you! Let me hear it - YIPPEE!!!!! There are 6 links in all so make sure you get them all. And let me know what you think after you've unzipped them and checked out all the goodies! Don't you just feel like a kid at Christmas time?? LOL! Please leave a comment if you download! I know 4shared has been difficult with the comments section (what isn't 4shared been difficult with lately?!?!) but please take an extra second to leave a comment here. It means so much!!

Still plugging away at the Holly Jolly blog train kit. I am so excited about this kit and loving the way it's turning out! I am going to make freebies in the meantime so keep checking back!
Now for the goodies!

Let me know what you think!!

I had a Trojan virus!!

So, turns out it wasn't 4shared after all, it was a virus on my computer! Luckily my antivirus software picked it up and took care of it, took long enough though!! I don't know where I get these things, the only stuff I download is scrapbook-related. Hopefully there isn't someone out there trying to sabotage the designing world by having viruses in their downloads!

While the grab bags are being uploaded at 4shared I thought I would give you a little preview:

I'm curious to see what you think! There are two zips for each grab bag. One has the papers and elements and the other has the alphas. I will post the links as soon as they are done. As always, if you use any of my designs in your layouts I would love to see them!

Update

4shared is giving me a heck of a time with these files. I don't know if they're too big or what it is, but it gets about 75%of the uploading done and then just aborts it. I am going to try splitting them up and uploading them one more time. If that doesn't work I will upload them to a different site. So hopefully they will be up today!

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

Ok, so I know it's not the weekend anymore

BUT I have an ABC kit grab bag that you will absolutely love, I guarantee it! So stay tuned, as soon as I can get the little one to take a nap it will be uploaded and the link posted. I will post a few sneak peeks here too, so you can at least see a little sampling of what's inside. Be back in a jiffy!

ABC Dotty papers

BRRRR, it's starting to get cold here and they are even talking maybe snow for tomorrow. Yikes!! I'm not ready for it to get cold yet. Where did fall go??

I have the Run and Jump papers download links for the dotty papers that I posted a couple posts back. Here is the preview again.

Obviously this is only a small portion, but you will love them all, I promise! I will upload the Skip link as soon as it's done.

I have signed up for my very first blog train too. Here is the color palette.

I am really excited about this kit and here is a preview of the first element I made for it.

Just some flair, but I'm still excited nonetheless. There will be plenty more to come and last time I checked I think there were like 65 blogs signed up for the train so it's going to be a pretty big event! Keep checking back for more ABC add-ons!

New Scrapbook Layout

I have wanted to scrap this pick ever since I took it. It took a while to find the right kit, but after I saw Krystal Hartley's Lil Stinker kit I knew it would be perfect.

So what do you think? I am in love with it. :)

Is everyone ready for National Scrapbook Day, um, well I guess it's tomorrow now! I can't wait for all of the sales and games and contests that are going to be happening. Now if I can only find a sitter to keep me kid free that day..............what, a girl can dream, can't she?!

Lotsa Goodies!!

So after my husband nearly lost his hand in a farming accident and my dad had a heart attack, I am back with some new run papers and - wait, are you ready for this? - TADA the run alphas! I only did 2, and maybe will do more, but hey at least I have SOMETHING for ya after leading you on all this time, lol. There is actually a 3rd alpha in the zip. I didn't like the way it turned out so I wasn't going to include it, but forgot to delete it when I uploaded it. So, it's there if you want to use it, if not you won't hurt my feelings one bit! But there is only a-z, no numbers or symbols or anything. The others include full lowercase alpha, 0-9, plus some common symbols. I love how the orange felt one turned out. It would look awesome on some Halloween layouts! Sorry the preview stinks, hehe.

Speaking of Halloween, the kids carved their pumpkins last night. It was all fine and dandy until it came time to clean the guts out, lol. I don't think I've ever heard them complain so much! So I had them just get what they could and carve their faces and told them I would finish scraping them out today. I'm sure I will be complaining as much as they were by the time I'm finished too, lol. I'll have to post some pics later.

I have so many more add-ons for these kits. There is 44 more papers that I absolutely LOVE! Here is a preview:

That of course isn't all of them. I have some of the Skip alphas that I separated. I could only do 4 of them before my hard drive crashed. And Jody, if you happen to make it back here and wouldn't mind to send me my other alphas that you said you had I would appreciate it so much! Or anybody else who could send them. My email is amber_lynn_82@yahoo.com. Plus some elements. I will work on getting everything uploaded and previews posted so keep checking back! Here is the download link for the Run Papers. As always, if you use my stuff in any layouts please send them to me, I would love to see them and show them off on my blog!

My Scrap Shop September Design A Kit Challenge and a FREEBIE!

So, I know I still haven't produced the rest of the ABC alphas, lol. But don't worry, they are in the works. I had some family things going on, and then I sort of lost my desire to create for a while. But I am out of my slump now - YAY!! And it came at the perfect time too. Because I came across a challenge at My Scrap Shop and it was the September Design A Kit challenge. I loved the colors that were chosen for the challenge, and it was a boy theme. So I thought hey, since I have two boys, why not give it a whirl. So I did and I had an absolutely blast doing it! So hopefully the slump is gone forever, and I already have some color combos in mind for my next mini-kit. But in the meantime, I WILL get those ABC alphas done already! Lol. Here is the preview for my portion of the challenge:

Sorry it's not bigger, and sorry the preview sucks! Lol, I wasn't sure how to do it so I just winged it. There are 6 papers, lots of chipboard elements, some puffy stickers (made with MegaDoodle's AWESOME transparent sticker action), a rub-on snail, some felt shapes, some charms with chains, and three different alphas. My favorite is that puffy snail sticker. I absolutely LOVE it. Oh, and the puffy house sticker, it looks like it was made with glue. Totally awesome. I love how this kit turned out. Hopefully the future ones are just as good - if not better! And I can't wait to see what the colors will be for the October kit. So keep checking back, I have a feeling the designer within me has found it's way out again! Ok I'll go ahead and shut up already and give you the download link, hehe.

Grrr, I hate hate HATE computers! But I do FINALLY have a freebie for you!

I know last time I told you I almost had the alphas ready and the labels. Then the unthinkable happened - my external drive failed. It has been a very long and stressful process trying to recover my files. Finally I am back up and running, but I wasn't able to get the alphas back that I created before, and they were deleted from my 4shared account because it was inactive for too long. If someone who has them would be willing to send them to me, I would be more than appreciative! Now, on to business. I have some papers for the ABC kits by Digitreats. Can you believe how amazingly huge this kit is getting to be?! I for one am going to be really sad when it's all over. I have a new TOU, so please be sure to read it. I will be posting links for the Skip papers today, and the Run and Jump papers over the next couple days. I also wanted to mention that a few posts back the preview for the Skip alphas said Jump, but they really are for the skip kit! I am planning on making some more add-ons, and other freebies as well. And hoping to eventually make some kits. So if there's something you need or would like to see, please let me know!

Skip PNG's ALMOST done and an awesome designer I found!

So, while sitting here packaging up the PNG's for the Skip Alpha I couldn't help but browse the web for some awesome scrapbooking freebies and I came across Digi Delights. She is super incredibly talented, and offers a lot of her great designs for free! She is also a designer at Plain Digital Wrapper where I picked up her Oink Cluck Moo kit which is just ADORABLE! So swing by her blog, check out her awesome freebies (and give her plenty of love!), and then browse through the store and grab one of her amazing kits! She doesn't have a whole lot in there right now, but I'm sure she will be filling it up with awesome stuff soon enough!

I am about halfway through the Skip PNG's so by tomorrow I'm sure they will be done. Then it's on to the Run alpha and hopefully some more add-ons.

I hope everyone had a good 4th! Ours wrapped up with the yearly rodeo, and my crazy husband decided that he was going to do the amateur bull riding. So after making sure his life insurance was up to date, LOL, we headed off to the rodeo so see my green-horned cowboy ride a bull. I didn't get any pics of him actually riding on it, well, because he just didn't last that long, LMBO, plus I was busy video taping so I couldn't take pics. But here is a pic of him right before he rode. Isn't he the most handsome cowboy you've ever seen!

Lol, well I think so anyways, although I may be just a tad biased. :) And here is a pic of them all, waiting for the parade on the 4th.

So there they are, they have made their grand debut. Jayden is on the left, then Rylie, and Colin is on the right. Check back tomorrow and I will have your freebie!

Later Gator!

MAJOR computer malfunction!

Hi all,
So some of you have probably been coming back wondering when I am going to have the rest of the ABC alphas done. Weeellll, my laptop totally fried on me and after finally getting everything back up and running I now need to sort through my external hard drive to see what I managed to save and what I didn't. It might take me a little while to figure out if I have everything saved that I need to get the alphas done (crossing my fingers AND toes hoping that I still have everything)! But as soon as I can I will have the other alphas done for you, plus some more of the wordart.

Angie - thanks for the sweet comments hun! I will be more than happy to answer any questions that you have and help in any way that I can. Sorry it took so long! Hopefully you make it back here so that we can chat a little!

As a designer, have any of you ever looked at someone's layout and saw something that caught your eye and wonder where you could get that certain thing? And come to find out, it was you that actually created it? That actually happened to me just yesterday! I was on Pam's website and trying to download all the different add-ons for the ABC kits. Well, I came across Heather's blog Haynay and saw a layout that she had done here and thought to myself "that alpha is awesome and the colors match so perfectly, I wonder where I can get it" and whilst reading through her credits it said "Amber at MOLC: alpha." And it didn't even click right away, roflmao! Haha, I had to sit there and think for a little bit if I had ever heard of that person! Can you believe that? I feel like such a tard for telling you all that, but it was so funny that I just had to share. So Heather, if you read this, I think the layout is totally fantastic!

My baby boy turned 1 on the 15th. I just realized I haven't shared any pics of my kiddos yet, so I will probably be posting some the next time. I can't believe he's 1. Hubby is already on the 'we need one more' kick. I told him unless he is pushing the thing out this time, he can forget it! LOL. 3 is enough for me!

So if you made it this far, sorry I don't have a freebie for you today but I will have some new ones up for you very soon, so please keep checking back!

Jump PNGs and some wordart

First of all, thank you to everyone who expressed their sympathy and compassion for my friends loss, your thoughts and prayers are so much appreciated. It has affected me more than I ever thought it would, and my heart just breaks for anyone who will ever have to go through this, because sadly many more people will. Alaina - I am so sorry for your loss as well, and thank you so much for the link. I will definitely pass it on to them.

I have gotten the Jump alpha done in PNG format (finally!). The link is here. If you would like a preview please scroll down a few posts. I will be getting the Skip one up next, and for the Run I will probably just do a PNG file instead of both since I dont have that one done yet. But if anyone would like it in a PSD as well, please let me know. And I also made some wordart for the Ice Cream theme for Jump. Here is a preview.

I just added some color and played with the blending options to give you an idea of what you can do with it. The PNG file is black. Not everyone can use it, but hopefully someone out there has some cute pics of a little one eating their first ice cream cone or something like that. The wordart link is here. I am going to backtrack too and make some more wordart for all of the other Jump themes, and then I will make some for each of the themes coming up as well once Pam gets them done. I will also be getting to the name labels here in the next day or two. I dont remember for sure, but I think when Pam offered them they were only available in the Run and Skip colors. I will have to check and see if they were available in the Jump colors. If they are I will be more than happy to make everyones requests. But if you requested a name in just Jump colors and those colors are not available, please let me know which other one you would rather have it in instead.

Thanks for stopping by!

We are mourning the loss of a friends baby girl, so it will take me a few more days to get the PNG alphas done but I promise that I will get them done. Thank you for understanding.

Oops!

It has been brought to my attention that some people are not able to use PSD files or files all on one page (thank you Laura from Virginia). I am so sorry, this is my first time designing so I still need to learn all the ins and outs of it all. I will make a PNG set for each alpha so that everyone will be able to use it, though it might take me a couple days. And I will save each letter/number/symbol as their own separate file. Hopefully you can forgive me, lol! And I have some more plans for some other ABC stuff so hopefully that will make up for it! Also I wanted to add, a while back Pam did some name labels for the kits. If anyone had a name that didnt get added, if you want to leave it here with which kit you want the name for and I will try to accomodate everyone the best I can.

Until next time,
Amber

Jump Alphas!

I just want to say WOW! I cant believe the downloads on theJump alpha and all of the sweet comments! I read every single one, and let me tell ya - they all made my day! I am so glad you all liked them so much. And hopefully you will like these Skip Alphas just as much. I absolutely LOVE the colors in the Skip kit and couldnt resist making an alpha for each one. At least I think I got each one. It would be really easy for you to re-color them with the paint bucket and use them on any layout that you want. But it was so much fun making them that I thought I would go ahead and make them in all the colors. I have the Run ones done too, but havent got them all packaged up yet so I will have those ready probably tomorrow. Thanks for all the love, you guys are awesome!

Welcome to my corner and some freebies!

Glad you all found me! This blog has been pretty lonely, but maybe if I blogged more I would get more visitors, LOL! Hmmm, I will have to think about that one some more.

So for the news about the CT, I will have a guest spot on the Sunshine Team come June and July! I absolutely can not wait and am so excited!! I really need to amp up my layout making so I can get some more practice and be able to showcase those wonderful ladies products the best I can. Here are a couple new layouts that I have completed recently.

Pam over at DigiTreats is creating these awesome ABC kits, as most of you know or you probably wouldnt be here, LOL! And lately I have had this crazy addiction to chipboard alphas! I love them, they are so versatile and look great on almost any layout! So I thought I would take that obsession and make some for the ABC kits, my first attempt ever at designing anything. Special thanks to Atomic Cupcake - their actions ROCK! Here are four different colored chipboard alphas made with the Jump colors. They contain full upper and lower case as well as numbers and a few symbols. I hope you can use them, and if you do please send me your layouts to amber_lynn_82@yahoo.com. I would love to see them, and it would be absolutely crazy and make my day that someone would actually like something that I made, LOL. I will be making some for the Run and Skip kits as well, along with hopefully some other things so make sure you check back!

My very first blog post and some exciting news!!!!

Sometime last week I applied for a CT position over at the Sunshine Girls blog, Sunshine Studio Scraps. I had kinda given up hope that I was going to hear back, after all I am just starting out in the digiscrapping world. But lo and behold, I received an email from the wonderfully talented Amanda Kay asking if I would be interested in a guest spot on their CT! I was so excited, and I am still beaming from ear to ear. I am honored, for one, to be chosen as a CT member for all of the wonderfully talented ladies that make up the Sunshine Girls (and their new Mr. Sunshine!). And I am so excited to expand my abilites as a digiscrapper, and to be able to use all of their awesome kits in the process! So you can be sure to see some new layouts from me in the very near future! Hopefully I will hear back from Amanda soon as to when I will be starting. I am just so excited and I cant wait to get started!

Have a great day!
